Summer Softball Sisters is a summer softball program for players who played at the AA annd AAA level in Spring 2023. The program is led by experienced New Canaan Softball parent coaches. The program will focus on player development and competition that is fun and appropriate to the players' experience and ability.

We expect that teams will have one weekday practice and one weekday game each week. All events will be at Waveny Park in New Canaan. Games will be competitive with players pitching with coach relief (simiar to AAA rules). There may be a handful of opportunities for some of the more experienced players to play games against teams from other nearby towns.

We expect the season to run from mid-June (immediately after the end of the school year) until late July.

The program cost is $200.

In Grade: 4 for 2022-23 School year

The Rookie division is for our beginner softball players in Kindergarten. The emphasis is on fun and participation. It is an instructional program used to introduce our newcomers to the basic rules of softball and fundamentals of hitting, fielding, throwing, and base running.

The season is six weeks long (weather permitting), starting April 22nd.  Each Saturday, there will be a 90 minute clinic. Stations of skill “games” will keep players on the move. As the season progresses, learning-focused scrimmages are introduced.

Player Evaluations: Not required.
