For players looking for a competitive and developmental experience in addition to recreational softball, while still allowing for flexibility to participate in additional sports/activities throughout the year, the NC Rams 10U Town Travel program offers an increased level of skill development and an opportunity to face more intensive and sometimes distant competition in Connecticut and potentially in neighboring states.

Our program offers a year-round team environment beginning in early September, running through the end of July, with a fall season of practices and regional games, winter indoor workouts and/or clinics in the off-season, some practices and games during the spring season, when the travel team schedule is designed so that players also play in New Canaan Softball’s recreational program, and an emphasis on a competitive summer season beginning in mid-June when New Canaan Softball’s recreational spring season concludes.  Our summer season coordinates with the Little League All Stars programming that New Canaan Softball’s recreational league promotes in late June / early July.  We anticipate entering tournaments in each of the fall, spring, and summer seasons.  As a part of the New Canaan Travel Softball program, players may potentially have the opportunity to participate on more than one team, from time to time.

Our NC Rams 10U Town Travel program is led by a team of experienced New Canaan Softball volunteer coaches, and the program focuses on building skills, leadership, and relationships among the players, with the hope that many of them will continue to play together for years to come.  We will communicate an exact cost after tryouts because it depends in part on the number of players on the team, but we expect a cost in the range of $800-$1,000 per player for the full year, plus the cost for participation in New Canaan Softball’s recreation program in the spring season, and a cost for uniforms for anyone who doesn’t have properly-sized travel uniforms from a previous season.
