For more skilled/competitive players who are committed to the sport of softball, while still allowing for flexibility to participate in additional sports/activities throughout the year, the NC Rams 16U Town Travel program offers an increased level of skill development and an opportunity to face more distant competition throughout Connecticut and occasionally in neighboring states.
This program complements the NCHS softball program and encourages players to participate in both the HS Sunday double header games in the fall and the HS league games that take place at the full-size fields at the Danbury Dome in winter. During these times, 16U Town Travel will provide training, games, and tournaments with little to no conflict with the HS programming. During the spring season, the 16U town travel team will break in order to focus on the spring HS season (in keeping with FCIAC regulations). Once the HS season ends, Town Travel's robust summer schedule begins and runs through the last weekend of July.
Our program focuses on building skills, leadership and relationships amongst players with the understanding that many of them will continue to play together throughout high school. Our ideal roster size is 12-13 players, but the organization reserves the right to increase or decrease the roster size to accommodate team circumstances.
