Code of Conduct

•  Participation in every league is a privilege, not a right, which requires the conduct of all participants to be above reproach
   
• Development of the fundamental qualities of fairness, leadership, good sportsmanship and decency in the youth of the community must always assume a greater degree of importance than the winning of games

• All participants must be sensitive to the mental and physical limitations of children in the program and recognize that the game is a vehicle of training and enjoyment, not an end in itself
   
• Under no circumstances will any physical or verbal abuse, harassment, humiliation, discrimination or punishment of any participant or volunteer in the program be tolerated
   
• Vandalism or reckless use of any property is unacceptable.  Any violation of this Code of Conduct and/or the rules of New Canaan Baseball/Softball Inc. or New Canaan Softball Little League will be immediately referred to the Board of Directors of the respective league for appropriate action

The Little League Players Pledge

I trust in God
I love my country
And will respect its laws

The Little League Parents and Volunteer Pledge

I will teach all children to play fair and do their best
I will postively support all coaches managers and players
I will respect the decisions of the Umpires
I will praise a good effort despite the outcome of the game
